Shy baby

Well we have a modest baby and it didn’t want to show off it’s stuff today. So, we have no idea what we are having despite an hour long u/s today. Oh well, I can’t be too disappointed, all the limbs and fingers & toes were there. Baby opened its mouth and closed it for us and the brain, spine and organs look good. The baby sure is crammed in there. To me it looks like it has really long legs and big feet, just like daddy, but what do I know! It was fun to see the baby for that long, but frustrating that we didn’t get to find out.

My placenta is low, which could be an issue. If it doesn’t get itself situated correctly it means I’d have to have a c-section. I got back in early Jan to have the placenta checked and they’ll try again on the sex. I hate not knowing, I was ready to register for all kinds of girly stuff. Guess we’ll have to stay neutral. That’s okay. I saw some turquoise and brown bedding I really like, that’s neutral. And I want to do a bird theme anyway, so that is neutral too.

The baby is low, and right on my bladder, which explains why I have to pee every 2 seconds when running.

Sorry you didn't get to find out boy/girl, although it can be fun not knowing! :) You'll still get a TON of cute little pink outfits as gifts after she's born (if you have a girl!)
Hope that placenta moves!!!

bummer on not finding out but glad he/she is healthy! i think right now, the feet ARE as long as the femurs!!!! crazy. imagine if they came out that way?? carrying low has its perks...i've been super comfy (except the peeing thing) and not showing nearly as much as i "should" be.

If you're like me, you could find out the sex but still constantly doubt the accuracy, even after the tech says "this one's as obvious as it gets" ;)

We left it a surprise with #1 precisely because I didn't want all the girlie stuff, and yet we have virtually no neutral hand-me-downs for #2 now! So, when the time comes, people will buy a baby girl the pink stuff (like it or not).

I had the placenta issue with #1, and while it freaked me out for 2 months, it resolved itself. Hope yours does too!

Oh wow, I didn't know if that could happen. I guess it will keep you going till Jan to try again!! I've just bought sporty team outfits of the teams my husband likes and I figure the rest of the stuff we'll get after the baby is born. We have a pooh theme so really I don't see the need to know ( I don't want to!)

It is good the baby is healthy!! I hope the placenta moves too! Maybe the baby will move up and get off your bladder and make you able to see the sex soon!
